Duck Lander Tribe we talk a bunch about our reed kits and how awesome they are at helping you find your personal tune, and how freeing it is to keep the scissors in your kitchen drawer delegated to opening those frozen bags of hard earned delicious duck and goose meat.
We want to go over the reed styles and what we talk about the most with our Tribe members when we are talking reed kits.
First off and most important. We hold an incredible tolerance on our tonebaords. We know the math we want and hold that math to some silly OCD levels. This allows us to use the same reed sizes everyday of the year and keep the calls ultra consistent. A side effect of this being able to run the reed kits bow up or bow down.
Second part of the critical is the reed kits eliminate the need to trim reeds. We do that for you with a really precise laser. We cut each reed to a specific stepped length, each increase in length is a step. This keeps your call tuning as OCD consistent as our machining..repeatable performance is the name of the game here and is the core of #ducklandercalls. We want to help you hunt to your best!!
So what do the different reed kits offer:
ALL OUR REED KITS RUN ENGRAVING UP OR DOWN. ENGRAVING UP ADDS RASP, ENGRAVING DOWN ADDS HOLD..
Standard Reeds- moderate rasp, great all around reeds.
HD- Increased rasp, increase hold. More of mid to advanced callers reed
Bullet Reeds- moderate rasp, max hold and whine, very good at adding more ducks in the call.
Dagger Reeds-Max rasp, minimum hold great for callers with heavy air
Gum Drop Reeds- Same as standard but in more narrow reed to run lighter
